SO GOOD

Amazing show. The Toronto show was amazing and very candid. Over an hour of actual hearing from Ellen. Got much more than my money’s worth.

ELLEN WAS GREAT!

Ellen herself was great!! She is truly an amazing person and Love Love Love her energy. However, we sure could have done without all the plugs from Company representatives blowing their own horns as to how great they are at overcharging their clients so they can donate ridiculous amounts of money to their favourite causes. And I'm pretty sure they get amazing tax breaks on those donations, thanks to their hard working overcharged clients. Was seriously disappointed in Rogers Arena for putting everyone, who paid a great deal of money to see Ellen, through over an hour of their pathetic rants!!

WE LOVE ELLEN

The energy of a stadium filled with women is not to be underestimated. The Tenors were terrific, a total surprise and so good, hearing everyone sing along was tremendously overwhelming. The power of Live Music!!! Ellen was talkative and funny and Dave Kelly did a good job interviewing her of course. The only negative would be we wanted more Ellen less of everything else. And more stand up would have been excellent since Ellen fans have already bought what she is selling.

NO IDEA WHAT TO EXPECT, AND I UNDERSTAND WHY

I agree with the majority of the comments here. I was disappointed when the conversation ended. There was too much talk from the sponsors, and I also didn't like the moderator. One thing I felt was that it was an event with the "old white man" feel. I don't mean to sound racist, but Ellen is a lesbian, she was brought down by old white men in Hollywood. I could feel that she was guarded. If they had a different moderator - a minority of some kind, then that might have helped her take her guard down a bit, but it wasn't Ellen like we see her on her own show. Or even in other interviews. And mainly b/c it wasn't her own show. It was a show sponsored by Telus and TD bank. And both companies are run by old white men. I was happy and excited to see Ellen in Vancouver, but there was potential for a much more entertaining and meaningful conversation. As far as I'm concerned, the conversation felt like people talking about the weather.

MEH ... IT WAS OKAY

The show was scheduled to start at 7pm but what the organizers didn’t share was for the first hour, the captive audience would be subjected to one CEO after another taking the stage to tout about how great their organization was in supporting different causes and projects. Then a random musical group entertained the audience for about 15 minutes, which was completely unexpected. Finally, Ellen took to the stage at 8pm and was then led through a scripted moderated interview. The conversation focused on significant events in Ellen’s life that any super fan would have already known and seen on multiple media platforms. Was it cool to see Ellen live and in person? Absolutely! Was she funny and entertaining? Yes! Was a one hour talk that mostly followed the story of Ellen that anyone could figure out using Google worth the price of the tickets?? I don’t think so,,,
