Canada's oldest ballet company, the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, returns for another season of Nutcracker magic! This sparkling Christmas tradition is a festive feast for the senses, complete with with enchanting costumes, flawless choreography and the glorious score by Tchaikovsky.
WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
This version features a distinctive Canadian twist; set in a stately home on Winnipeg's Wellington Crescent, this Nutcracker features endearing familiar scenes like an ice-pond hockey game and a thrilling battle set on Parliament Hill. Join Clara in her magical midnight adventure as she helps the Nutcracker Prince defeat the wicked Mouse King and venture off into a fantasy kingdom filled with fairies and sweets. Share in her delight as the Sugar Plum Fairy commands her subjects to dance in their honour.
What could be more fun for the family than to join young Clara's Christmas fantasy, where sweets and toys come to life, the Sugar Plum Fairy spreads her magic and a mischievous bear steals the Christmas pudding. This holiday classic is a definite favourite to share with your whole family!
