Their 2005 album Eyes Open, is home of one of the most emotionally potent tunes of the 21st century, "Chasing Cars". With over 100,000 radio plays in the UK, two million downloads in the US, and the accolade of "Best Song of All Time" from the listeners of Virgin Radio, "Chasing Cars" also had the rare distinction of closing the BBC's long-running TV chart show Top Of The Pops in July 2006. The effect was phenomenal, leading to Eyes Open selling 4.7m copies worldwide.

Great music...lousy sound mixing
It was a very good mix of songs and good to have Snow Patrol back. Next time don't use the same sound team...they almost ruined the night. ... Read more

Classic Snow Patrol repertoire
Snow Patrol has been around for longer than you may think. Something Gary Lightbody pointed out during the concert was that one of the songs they were playing is the same age as Billie Marten(one of the opening acts). That being said with their
latest album they've crowned themselves the 'Nostalgia Kings' for reawakened fans like myself and so many others. Their music has a knack for neither being the most absolute most popular upon its release nor for being at all unpopular 10+ years later.
This concert despite some mixing flaws felt like greeting an old friend. They kept it small and intimate, and yet the crescendos, the emotion and passion they put into it was enough to rival any stage size at anytime! Gary's candor in treating screaming fans and the crowd in general was a refreshing taste of genuine personality from someone whom you'd expect to have some sort of professional facade to keep up with. ... Chicago Got Patrolled
The show was fantastic. I have wanted to see this band live for 20 years. I've read reviews that felt the mixing was off with too much emphasis on the bass. I won't disagree, but I thought the band sounded very tight and and the voices were in perfect tune.
My only minor complaint...Love so many of their songs that I know no set list will please all fans. But seriously, you're playing in Chicago, you even stop before one song to talk a bit about how you mentioned the wrong city in a song when in a different city. Which was a funny story. But it certainly would lead the crowd to think you will probably play one of your best songs that mentions Chicago and references Chicago artist Sufjan Stevens as well. Yet, no "Hands Open" for the Chicago audience. That seemed to be a big faux pas. ... Read more
