Beastie Boy Back On The Road

Beastie Boys legend Mike D hits the road with his live band, touring in support of his debut solo album Thank You! The first time a Beastie Boy has released solo music since the group's disbandment, the Mike D 5D band consists of his sons David and Skyler Diamond, along with Eddie and Milo Ruscha and Okkervil River member Will Graefe. Hip-Hop Legend

Best known as a member of the influential hip-hip trio Beastie Boys, Mike D's first taste of success with the group was with their experimental single "Cooky Puss" in 1983. From there they toured with Madonna before releasing their iconic debut album, Licence to Ill. Following on from their overnight success, Beastie Boys released seven further albums, resulting in the group selling over 26 million records in the States alone and 50 million worldwide. Following the death of member Adam Yauch a.k.a. MCA, the group disbanded in 2012, with Mike D forging the beginnings of his solo career nearly 14 years later in 2026.
