Hailing from the unassuming town of Southport in England's Midlands region, Gomez burst onto the scene in the late 90s when their first album, Bring It On, won the Mercury Music Prize in 1998. Now 20 years later, Gomez celebrate the album that put them on the map, with a special anniversary tour!
Since their first iconic release, the band have gone onto release a further six studio albums, with both Bring It On and Liquid Skin (1999) receiving Platinum status. Made up of Ben, Ian, Paul, Tom and Olly the five-piece have a tight and formidable fan base, both in the UK and US. With their plethora of hits packed onto their tour bus Gomez bring their Indie hits to their fans in every corner of the globe.
Did you know?
When the band played their first gig they didn't have a formal name. However, when trying to direct their friend 'Gomez' to the venue with sign that read "Gomez in here", gig-goers assumed that this was the band's official name, and it stuck!
