HORRIBLE VALUE FOR THE $

Can’t believe tickets were $170 to hear some guy talk about Ellen. Only an hour of Ellen! She is supposed to be about the people but that’s ridiculous

DISAPPOINTING - WAS HOPING FOR MORE LAUGHS!

This score of 2 stars is rather "kind". The show itself was quite disappointing. Don't get me wrong, Ellen herself is very funny and can be quite entertaining. That being said, the show started with too many people going on and on listing off names of people and organizations that we were told made the show happen and a long Telus infomercial promoting how much they do. The show started promptly at 7 pm with the thank-you's and then a Canadian Juno nominee entertainer (who I've never heard of) singing with a jazz band for approx 45 mins. He was talented but we didn't pay to see him. Then a moderator appeared and introduced Ellen, she came out (no dancing) and sat in a chair and was interviewed for about an hour. That's it! A couple funny little stories and then she said thanks for coming, the lights came on and it was over. All wrapped up by about 8:45. Kind of disappointing as we expected to laugh more...

ELLEN WHAT HAPPENED

The tickets weren't cheap but we were excited! Then after the show hugely disappointed. After the beginning performance why was it necessary to have the next 30 min or more consumed by sponsers? I am sure they do amazing things but I didn't pay $145 to listen to them... NOT why I was there. Ellen as much as I like her was not herself and her energy was lack luster. The host was the wrong man for the job and I am not sure even Ellen was impressed. The show would have been better received had she had a surprise guest and do what she does best or have her sit and tell stories and take questions from the audience. The conversations have been had many times and seem to just go in circles. The questions just generic, where was Barbara Walters when you needed her. I think Ellen is who she appears to be and she has such a vibe you would want to be around her...…...to bad we missed that energy this visit.

MEH

Love Ellen but thus was a waste of money. Pre scripted exactly-one-hour interview leading to some basic stories we already knew. Totally canned. Lots of filler. For $150 I also shouldn’t have to sit through speeches and commercials by Vancouver Chamber if Commerce, TD and Telus. They literally spoke as much as Ellen did.

ELLEN, NOT WHAT I EXPECTED

While it’s great two groups brought Ellen to Vancouver, their speeches could have been much shorter, especially the TD speech. Doesn’t make me want to get a bank account there. While I thought the interviewer was good, his questions were irrelevant because the thousands of Ellen fans already know about her. She was made to talk about things she has talked about many times before. I was waiting for the interview to end so Ellen could take over and entertain us. I left feeling happy to see her but disappointed about the show’s format.

ELLEN LIVE @ ROGERS

TO BE HONEST, I WAS DISAPPOINTED. WHICH I HATE TO ADMIT TO ANYTHING ABOUT ELLEN. SHE IS TALENTED, FUNNY, KIND, GENEROUS, THE LIST GOES ON. THIS INTERVIEW WAS WAY TOO SCRIPTED BY A LACK LUSTRE INTERVIEWER. ANY FAN OF ELLEN'S ALREADY KNEW THE ANSWERS TO THE OVER SCRIPTED QUESTIONS. THE FIRST HOUR WAS A WASTE OF TIME. SERIOUSLY WITH ALL THE TALENT IN CANADA & SPECIFICALLY VANCOUVER, THIS COULD HAVE BEEN WAY BETTER AND WORTH THE $$$ SPENT ON TICKETS. AN HOUR OF MONOLOGUE BY ELLEN WOULD HAVE BEEN GREAT.

ELLEN IN TORONTO 3/3/19

4 of us went to the show and were very surprised at how bad it was.Too much time wasted early with the band. The Q and A format was awful. We expected Ellen to be on by herself, telling stories and interacting with the crowd. My Wife and sister in law fell asleep.A waste of an hour drive and the cost of admission.
